World-class chef making first Texas visit, will cook at Nixta Taqueria

The adore for Nixta Taqueria has jumped the pond and produced it to Europe. Inventive Basque chef Iñaki Aizpitarte, who is chef-proprietor of the restaurant Le Chateaubriand in Paris, is coming to Austin in Might for the Wild Earth Festival and arrived at out to chef Edgar Rico at Nixta about cooking a collaborative dinner at the East Austin taqueria on May well 13. 

Rico met Aizpitarte, whose cafe has been celebrated by some publications as 1 of the most effective in the environment, when Aizpitarte cooked a pop-up meal at Trois Mec in Los Angeles. Rico labored there with chef Ludo Lefebvre.

“He did a grilled avocado dish with a grapefruit granita, which was the craziest vegan dish I’d ever experienced,” Rico claimed. “It was like you have been consuming ceviche but in a definitely distinct manner.
